Inspired by this and this, this outfit eventually found its way into my life.
I actually didn't buy these pieces with the intention of recreating either of these looks. I bought each piece separately over the course of a month or so and for varying reasons. I bought the pants because they were the only potentially flattering pair Anthropologie was selling at the moment. I bought the tank to wear under a suit for my recent business trip. I bought the shoes after seeing this outfit. And I bought the jacket last week just because I thought it was lovely, but I actually had no idea what I would wear it with. But when it came time to get dressed yesterday morning, the seed that was planted by Emily and Garance came back to guide me. That's sort of how it goes with me. A seed is planted, I gravitate to certain pieces with that seed in the back of my mind, and, somehow, over time and with a bit of trial and error, it all comes together.

Thanks for your comments. As a curvy girl, one shop that I love is Totokaelo. It's a fashion-forward boutique that considers all body types. Last week their blog posts featured a curvy model wearing and looking great in some of their clothes, and it was so great to see! It's a bit pricey, but worth it I think. They also have pretty good sales. Hope that helps!
